Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all coaching and mentoring services provided by Coach for Life† (“Coach”), to any individual or organisation (“Client”) and constitute the contract for the service to be provided by Coach for Life to the Client.
1. Coaching Services
The Coach For Life Coaching Program (“CFL Program”) covers life coaching, personal coaching, personal development, executive coaching and business coaching for Clients and where applicable includes mentoring or supervision services provided for Clients, coaches or others as set out on the Coach For Life website, www.coachforlife.uk (“Site”).
The number and duration of sessions, timing, scope and fees of the particular CFL Program will be agreed in writing in advance between the Coach and the Client and may be amended by agreement as the sessions progress.
Coaching may be provided face-to-face or through video conference as agreed. Where coaching sessions require the Coach to travel, this may incur additional fees which will be agreed in advance in writing.
At the end of the CFL Program, the Client will be asked to complete a feedback form.
2. Coach-Client Relationship
The Client recognises that time spent in preparation is an essential part of the CFL Program. The Coach will send the Client a worksheet before each session to be completed and returned in good time for the session and no later than 48 hours before. The Coach will produce a written summary after each session and send to the Client by email.
The Client understands and agrees that
the CFL Program is not offered as a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any mental health or medical conditions, and must not be used in place of any form of therapy;
the Coach is not acting as a mental health counsellor or a medical professional;
the Client is fully responsible for their well-being during coaching sessions and subsequently, including all their choices and decisions;
all comments and ideas offered by the Coach are solely for the purpose of aiding the Client to achieve the goals agreed with the Coach. The Client has the ability to give their informed consent, and hereby gives such consent for the Coach to assist in achieving such goals and understand that results are not guaranteed;
to the extent the CFL Program involves personal development, the Coach is not promising outcomes including but not limited to increased personal happiness, career progression, profitability and/or business success.
3. Fees, Cancellation & Rescheduling
In return for the fees payable by the Client (or by a third party on their behalf), the Coach agrees to provide the agreed CFL Program in accordance with the Terms and Conditions set out herein. The Client agrees to pay fees for the service in accordance with the Terms and Conditions set out herein.
The Coach will invoice the Client in stages as agreed after each session and payment is due within 14 days.
The Client can reschedule a session once with up to 2 days’ notice with no additional charge.
The Client can cancel a session within 24 hours with no charge for a genuine emergency.
If a session is rescheduled by the Client more than once or cancellation is for a reason other than a genuine emergency the Client will be charged 50% of the session cost.
Either the Client or the Coach may terminate their agreement at any time with two weeks’ written notice.
4. Confidentiality
The Coach will treat the Client’s personal information as confidential unless agreed otherwise in writing with the Client. Where a third-party is paying for the services, confidentiality remains strictly between the Coach and the Client.
Notwithstanding the above, the Coach may disclose information if required to do so by law, if the Coach reasonably believes there to be an imminent or likely risk of danger or harm to the Client or others, or if the information involves illegal activity.
The Client understands that the use of technology is not always secure, and accepts the risks of breach of confidentiality in the use of email, text, phone, WhatsApp, Skype and any other technology.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site and provided by the Coach by physical or electronic means, including worksheets, text, images, graphics, logos, and design, is the property of the Coach and is protected by copyright law. The Client may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or display any content without the Coach’s prior written consent. In signing up to a CFL Program, the Client accepts that ownership of all material belongs to the Coach.
6. Waiver
The CFL Program is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Coach makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the information or services provided.
In no event shall the Coach be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the CFL Program.
The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Coach from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of the CFL Program.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
